Great White Sharks

The Great White Shark, one of the most notorious hunters on earth, plays an important role at the top of the marine food chain. They ambush their prey, attack by biting with the lower jaw and then the upper jaw, shaking their heads back and forth to tear off bite-sized pieces, which are swallowed whole. The shark’s bullet-shaped body and powerful tail fin allows it to propel through water at high speed bursts in pursuit of prey, sometimes leaping out of the water.
