Life in the Kelp Forest

Kelp forests are the submerged counterparts of rain forests, formed in shallow water by the dense growth of several different species known as kelps. Kelp forests are among the most productive ecosystems in the world, sea lions and seals feed on the fish that live in kelp forests, and many species of fish and marine mammals inhabit kelp forests for protection and food.
